TSUT: The Still Unnamed Tool for mesh network planning

Playlists: 'bmv12' videos starting here

At the university of Trento, we are developing a tool (still without a name) that tells you if there is line-of-sight between two buildings and an estimation of how much bandwidth you can achieve, based on the datasheets from real devices. It uses open data from LIDAR traces to have real building altitudes and tries to suggest what is the best option when you add a new node and you can choose between several potential neighbors. It is Open Source, it is still a work in progress, but we are glad to share it and gather feedback from the community.
