qaul.net is a zero config, multi platform, secure, anonymous Internet independent wifi communication application. It directly interconnects end user devices and allows communication between them. It synchronizes and forwards messages and allows communicating via voice chat, text messages and file sharing.

In 2013, qaul.net antennas on the roof of 6b interconnected the neighborhood with an informal settlement on the other side of the canal.

qaul.net is undergoing a complete rewrite. A new network agnostic routing protocol is being created to form Internet independent mobile mesh networks, communicate locally and delay tolerant.

The talk will present and discuss the concepts of qaul.net, with a new approach to enable mesh communication in heterogeneous mobile networks with a focus on mobile phones as crucial network nodes.
